"Praise song for the day" by Elizabeth Alexander
This poem makes me feel that their is someone who is willing to make changes on things that need to be fixed. The words I liked from the poem is "In today's sharp sparkle, this winter air, anything can be made, any sentence begun. On the brink, on the brim, on the cusp, praise song for walking forward in that light." I think the poet choose these words for the Inaugral poem because she is saying that there is someone that is willing to make a change. Someone that has a rived, someone we have been waiting for. Poetic devises I notice are: Free verse, metaphor.
